Siravedh Therapy Or Raktamokshan (Ayurvedic Blood-letting Therapy)

Raktamokshan therapy, also known as Ayurvedic bloodletting therapy, is an ancient Ayurvedic practice that involves the therapeutic removal of a small amount of blood from the body. “Raktamokshan” is a Sanskrit term where “rakta” means blood, and “mokshan” means to let out or release. It is also known as one of the Panchkarma (Body detox) procedures.

In Ayurveda, it is believed that imbalances in the blood can contribute to various diseases and health conditions. Raktamokshan therapy aims to remove the vitiated or impure blood from the body, thereby helping to restore balance and promote healing.

If you are interested in trying Raktamokshan therapy, it is recommended to seek out an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner who can guide you through the process safely and effectively. We, sahaj ayurveda, Adalaj have trained staff and an experienced Ayurved surgeon who can perform Raktamokshan therapy in a better way. We have female therapist for female assistance and male therapist for male assistance.

There are different methods of performing raktamokshan therapy like Siravedh therapy (which is consider as most effective way of blood-letting), Jaloukavacharan (leech application), Sringa application etc.

Benefits Of Raktamokshan

Raktamokshan, or bloodletting therapy, is believed to offer several potential benefits in Ayurveda. While it’s important to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to determine its suitability for your specific situation, here are some of the potential benefits associated with raktamokshan therapy:

  1. Detoxification: Raktamokshan therapy is thought to help eliminate impurities and toxins from the blood. By removing a small amount of blood, it is believed to enhance the body’s natural detoxification process, promoting overall purification and improved health.
  2. Improved Circulation: By removing stagnant or vitiated blood, raktamokshan therapy may help to improve blood circulation. Enhanced circulation can contribute to better oxygenation and nutrient supply to tissues and organs, supporting their optimal functioning.
  3. Reduction of Inflammation: Bloodletting is believed to have anti-inflammatory effects. By removing impure blood, it may help to reduce inflammation in specific areas of the body, particularly in conditions such as skin disorders and certain inflammatory conditions.
  4. Balancing Doshas: Ayurveda views health as a state of balance among the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Raktamokshan therapy is thought to help balance these doshas by removing excessive or imbalanced doshas present in the blood. Restoring doshic balance is believed to support overall well- being.
  5. Relief of Symptoms: Raktamokshan therapy is often used as a complementary therapy to address specific symptoms or conditions. It may help to alleviate pain, itching, swelling, and other discomforts associated with certain diseases or disorders.
  6. Skin Health Improvement: Raktamokshan therapy has traditionally been employed for various skin conditions. It is believed to help in purifying the blood and improving skin health by reducing inflammation, promoting healing, and addressing underlying imbalances.
  7. Support for Specific Conditions: Raktamokshan therapy is often considered in certain conditions such as varicose veins, liver disorders, gout, and certain blood-related disorders. Its potential benefits can vary depending on the specific condition and individual circumstances.
  8. Cancer Care without Chemotherapy and Radiation: Raktamokshan therapy, particularly the Siravedh therapy works excellent on cancer cells. It is the main Ayurvedic therapy to treat the Cancer cells without Chemotherapy and Radiation.

It’s crucial to remember that Ayurvedic treatments, including raktamokshan therapy, should be administered by a qualified practitioner who can assess your unique needs, health status, and determine the suitability of the therapy for you.
